A LITTLE ABOUT ME.... Gillian  (Founder of Walky Walkies)

 

 

My interest in animals, especially dogs started from a very early age. I'm told that my first word was the name of our family dog, or was it my cat. Hmm..  It was a long time ago (gulp!). But it started with a major animal fanatic... my Dad!! From dogs, cats, chickens to home built aviaries full of budgies to exotic birds, there was my dad in his wellie boots ready for some animal action.

 

I have always had dogs. I lived opposite Epping Forest and it was so natural for me to walk them with the neighbours dogs every day.

 

As I left home and married, I continued having dogs and cats and when the kids came along, many small pets.

 

Our current dog is Dennis, a fantastic, soppy, well behaved Labrador. He is the most gentlest of dogs. He is an asset to me and for other dogs because of his calming spirit, and his knowing nature. He loves doggie sleep-overs. He will settle your pet, and will take them under his paws and show them all the best places to be walked on the block. (Which is Loughton fields, Connaught waters and many Epping Forest, walking trails).

 

I have always been surrounded by animals, even to the extent of wild creatures. I have had and cared for over the years, wounded pigeons, ducks, foxes, squirrels and rats, and a reputation amongst friends, family and neighbours to look after stray cats and dogs until their owners are found.

 

 

I really hope you like my introduction and animal stories, and I have so many more to tell ! Hopefully, I will get the chance to. I look forward to meeting you and your pet in the near future.
